Prof. Tunji Olaopa

Professor Tunji Olaopa is Chairman, Federal Civil Service Commission of Nigeria and the Vice President (West Africa) of AAPSCOMS. He is a professor of public administration and public policy and is a prolific author on that and other socio-political subjects. Prior to his appointment as Chairman of Nigerian’s Civil Service Commission in 2023, he had served for 27 years in the Federal Civil Service mostly as an administrator with a slant on policy management and reforms, rising to the peak as a Permanent Secretary, on which he retired in 2015. He recently served for three years as a directing staff of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Nigeria’s premier policy studies institution and think tank. He is the founder of the Ibadan School of Government and Public Policy.
